TGI, College of Further Education offers a number of Higher Education qualifications across a range of subjects. These courses are run in association with several UK universities with which the College team has developed working relationships. These courses are ideal for students who prefer to remain on the island and who prefer to study on part-time basis whilst also working and earning money.
BTEC Level 4 Certificate and Level 5 Diploma in Art & Design
The HNC/D qualifications are made up of a selection of units that offer you the best possible start to a career in the creative industries. The courses give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in creative experimentation, concept development and the exploration of your own individual perspective. These pathways are ideal for students seeking careers within the creative sector on island or as the first two years of a degree course.
CIOB Level 4 Diploma in Site Management
This course is designed for construction site managers working in the construction sector who are progressing into managing larger and more complex projects. The qualification develops the students’ knowledge and skills to plan and programme projects, liaise with stakeholders and oversee large or complex construction projects safely and efficiently.
Training Assessment & Quality Assurance (TAQA)
TAQA is a suite of qualifications for people working in, or looking to enter roles in assessment and quality assurance. There are a variety of knowledge and practical unit combinations available. Level 3 focuses on assessment and Level 4 focuses on internal quality assurance (IQA).
BTEC Level 4 HNC and Level 5 HND in Business
These courses will develop you as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the business sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance your career prospects.
Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training
The Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training is a City & Guilds accredited teaching qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. It is a qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers. All candidates will be required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of teaching as part of the study programme over two years.
